January 31 to February 7
Participation by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince in tribute to His father, who took part in the 1953 Tour de France automobile race under the pseudonym Louis Carladès.
Organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM), the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo is the oldest rally in the world, with a first edition in January 1911. It is one of the most famous automobile events. Historically, competitors started from cities all over Europe and gathered on difficult and demanding roads to arrive and celebrate the victory in a unique place in Monte Carlo. Since its inception, the Rally has always been the "must win" event for manufacturers and drivers. The Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo has always been a round of the World Rally Championship since its creation in 1973, except between 2009 and 2011 (Intercontinental Rally Challenge). At the same time, the popularity of the Historic Monte Carlo Rally has never waned since its first edition in 1998, with a minimum average number of 300 vehicles taking part. The rally's itinerary is always made up of renowned stages, all of which are generally used by its WRC predecessor. Finally, the race is open to cars that have taken part in the Rallye Automobiles Monte-Carlo between 1911 and 1983.
